Avon River Metalworks
Known as “the reluctant artist”, Al Simm creates metal sculptures and functional architectural pieces. His diverse portfolio includes custom fireplace screens, stair railings and gates, tabletop sculptures of plants, and commanding floral sculptures and signposts for yards. Many of his sculptures are permanently “planted” in downtown Windsor.

Aided by his use of realism and the modernist canon, Steven Rhude has steadily pursued his vision of vernacular imagery with consistency and insight. Widely regarded in Nova Scotia as a valued artist for twenty five years, the artist also has a large and avid following of private collectors.

Sun Porch Pottery
Jane Harrington delights in creating functional, one of a kind pottery that will find its forever home in people's everyday lives. She is particularly influenced by forms and designs found in historical pots and incorporates designs of the plants and flowers that surround her studio on the beautiful Minas Basin shore.

Workshops: Beginner and intermediate classes in throwing and hand building that run 6 weeks once per week. One and two day project specific workshops are occasionally offered. Groups and clubs can request special workshops. The minimum number for a request is three.
Windsong Studio and Gallery
Inspired by the beauty & diversity of gardens, woodlands and the ever-changing coast, Twila creates realistic paintings of natural subjects: birds, butterflies, flowers, landscapes & seascapes. Elected to the Society of Canadian Artists in 2009, she works in watercolour, ink, acrylic & oil. Visitors are welcome to enjoy the gardens around her studio.

Since Alexa's beginnings as a botanical illustrator, the architecture of plants has intrigued her. In her workshop, she conspires with her scrap heap to forge pieces for garden and home. Her sculptures can be found at the Tangled Garden in Grand Pré, the Historic Gardens in Annapolis Royal, and in the extensive gardens, designed by Nina Newington, surrounding their farm.

Art On School Studio
An Anglo Saxon diadem graces the head of a long forgotten Queen and entices the viewer into the painting. While a Heavenly Horse from China tosses its mane as it streaks across mulberry paper. Such themes persist throughout the paintings Shela creates for collectors favouring mythical ephemera.

Jamie Baxter's figurative paintings are richly surfaced, often visceral. They consistently bear the marks of their making. The artifact can't exist outside of its history. Pat Sollows' paint handling is luscious, her subjects evocative and highly personal. She shares a rustic Long Island studio with her husband and two cats.
